Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

That's the ramrod thimble, and I'll have all the fun I want finishing and inletting it! The brass parts are all rough sand castings that need to be smoothed off and fitted to the stock.

Kaintuck scratch builds flintlock rifles and can do that quickly... I hope to be done by Easter. Maybe.

The lock has to be fitted to the stock & the stock finished off. Should be fun! SW

This one's a 69 cal for round ball. No sights... I guess the theory is "closer is better"!

Next step - after I have it in hand - is to aggravate kaintuck for advice! SW

Don't spend money on a Chinese replica.
They only look good on the wall.
If you don't look too close.
The Cold Steel Cossack sabres are the next best thing (an original being the best of course).
