This was nice then i expected.I like the repair made on the stock, makes it special looking to see the craftsman ship.I got the bayonet screw/button parts on it and am waiting on the bayonet/spike to come yet. It is a 6.5 Carcano cavalry carbine. |

It's one of the very last cav carbines made - possibly early 1944. It was indeed made by Gardone arsenal. Late in the war there was no sense of urgency to add many of the standard marks so they were just omitted. SW |

You are now the proud owner of the world's ugliest cavalry carbine. Congrats. I have one too. Ugly is when the bayonet is deployed for action....roasting weenies perhaps? Mine is sitting next to me with a broken firing pin..... Oh the agony.... Best Regards, Mark |

change of plans I got this 6.5 carcano calvery carbine and a 8mm carbine barrel action to make a 8mm carbine .the Germans took the Italian rifle and made them shoot there 8mm ammo.yOU CAN see the cut in the receiver for the longer bullet. should be a fun build.hard to see the 7.9 restamp on the 1 site block. same bolt.should swap over with no trouble.Have a bayonet on the way for it. It stays on the rifle like a sks dose. |

Are you going to put an extra recoil lug in the stock like the originals? SW |
