I think the wording remitior or whatever, means its got a movement that is constant....as the spring unwinds...this type, keeps its same pressure....I told you about the other one I bought.....she loves it! And the Elgin is off to Jacobs friend, Jacob thinks he can fix it with a new stem for about 40clams.... I think my sister will get that one IF Jacob gets it fixed. But, that's a cool watch...now you need a chain and fob!!! Marc n tomtom PS, Remontoir Cylindre" isn't the manufacturer. It simply means that the watch has a cylinder escapement. "10 Rubis", of course, means that it is a 10-jewel movement." I can't find who made mine.....it has a serial number of 26137.....and on the inside bake case is marked 'curve'....which I found out means ...not gold.. But it runs, and the past owner said 1918 manufacture. Hogger.......yours has Swiss made"......I can't find a makers Swiss mark on mine....I need to find my loop, and look it over good..... |
