Got me this wonderful CZ 527 carabine yesterday.
Bolt action, 5 shot detachable magazine.
Short, handy, and uses your standard AK ammo. Sweet !
Sights are fixed/non-adjustable so I'm figuring on putting an aimpoint or something on it.
Should be fun to shoot !
Now let's find me a herd of hogs ...

That does look like a good rifle, I like its caliber and lines. Don't get me wrong, I would never give up my flinters or Paris........but this one seems neat to me....have you seen what she'll do at the range yet?

Will try it out next sunday.
I don't think they have a left handed model, you might want to check out their US website.

I've worked on 5-6 of them, trigger work. The whole trigger pack is riveted together, but you can get enough of a small stone in to lightly polish the sear. Adjust your trigger for sear engagement, leaving only about 1/64" of engagement. Turns out a very nice trigger, I especially like the single set on some of their rifles.

Thx for the feedback.
The trigger actually feels quite nice as it is. There's also the set-trigger (schtecher) option that I have to figure out. Will give it a go on sunday !

Simple, once the firearm is cocked press the trigger forward until it clicks, (some will not click, but will latch) now your trigger is set and the pull weight is REAL light. Just be careful about putting your finger inside the trigger guard and accidently touching the trigger when it's set.

I've shot this lil' beauty a couple times now and I must say I'm VERY satisfied with it !
It's real fun to shoot AND pretty accurate.
Even without scope, despite the fixed sights and my less than perfect eyesight it behaves just as it should.
I first tried it out at 25m, got everything in a less that 3" circle after a couple of "feelers".
At 50m I have no problem keeping all rounds within a 5" circle now.
Methinks this carabine has potential.
(Ammo used is Czech and Russian surplus.)
