my 1915 savage favorite , ive not shared this as its been an ongoing quest , one that was more personal than of collector interest , what ive sought was not a perfect example as much as a replacement for something that cannot be replaced in life , my grandfather left me a 1915 Stevens favorite in 22 LR , it was my first and favorite rifle , i left it in the protection of my father at his home , in 1987 there was a house fire , a lot was lost , this was one that was destroyed beyond reclamation , so i have been seeking one out for years looking at gun shows and pawn shops and gun stores , ive found a lot of 25 rimfires and others , they were not the replacement ,

i went to a gunshow today with friends - had too much cash in pocket and i found it , i bought it - if there are no more fires in my life my heirs can deal with it , but i have replaced what was lost , i am very happy- amen
