The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. Just grabbed this on gunborker. Looks like a standard Carcano bajonet, but the muzzle ring has been altered for Italian Vetterli. Very unusual, but the new Vetterli book sez it's legit.

To make it further unusual, most Carcano bajonets altered for Vetterli had brass grips and were painted black.

A standard Carcano bajonet is shown to the left for dimension perspective.

(You might see this in a book one of these days!
