Yes, they are! Was fortunate enough to make the gravel pit for the first time this year on Friday morning. Have another homebuilt conversion that I wanted to test at 20 yds for velocity/p.o.i. differences, but it was far too windy and cold for such fine work....

Looks a little beastly, and deservedly so. She cracked 925 f.p.s. in the early developmental stage- with just a hair too much preload on the hammer spring
Just had to try for that soda can pull-ring tab rivet with the pistols at ten paces. The Beretta was the only one to cut the mustard....
Couldn't hit the recessed primer on a live 7.62 X 39 round that I found out there with the pistols- I simply couldn't see it. Switched to a scoped .177 rifle, and it popped right away...
Must have been early 80's Russki ball of some sort- copper case with Cyrillic markings and an 81-E for head-stamp. Undoubtedly a f.t.f. from an SKS. They are very popular here...
