I scored a genuine Belgian RR fob for my RR pocket watch & meant to display them in a shadow box with Civil war bullets kaintuck gave me several years ago. Took the cover off to find a Confederate $100 bill!

I doubt it's worth a bundle, but it's way cool! That shadow box was too small for the watch with fob so I scored bigger ones on sale at hobby lobby.

Notice the cotton harvesting in progress. Not politically incorrect - that's how it was done then.

And a few Euro medals. The ones with service bars are from the Rif War in North Africa. The others are various Belgian medals - WW1 victory - Croix de Guerre & so forth. SW

$100 back then was like $6000 now. You can probably look it up. That was alot of money back then. Strange place to hide since if they robbed you, they usually took your watch.

I only looked at one site, but I found the same bill for $179. Kaintuck gave me a shadow box he got at a garage sale with Civil War bullets in it & he never opened it. Had no idea the bill was in the box. SW

really fun back story , would be fun to know who put it there and when , i had one of these back in the 60s that my grandfather gave me , i left it in my parents safe deposit box when i left home , when they died there was no sign of it , i dont care of value - it would be nice to have that keepsake of my grandfather back tho ,
