Took it out on a remote county road to murder beer cans. The beer cans are in deep mourning now. It was all sighted in and shot right where I looked had cans bouncing all over the place. There's a big feed lot out that way & apparently at least 2 of the feedlot cowboys (not to be confused with real cowboys) go through a lot of blue can beer which means I always have a good supply of targets. Now to load more! SW |

so - im getting the rifle shoots well from this, sounds like it performed really well but im guessing 'feed lot cowboys' not to be confused with real cowboys are not so high on your list of folks you enjoy ? is there any room or place for old line cowboys these days ? the fences and the lack of open range must have ended that as much as we might dream it different in this generation , and speaking of "this generation" is there still a cowboy attitude today beyond someone of teenage rebellion thinking that exists these days ? im only asking because so much of the youth i encounter today are so wrapped up in their electronics and such , i think its gone ... im a sad reminder that there are those of us that do remember and we relive it in our monthly and regional ,as well as our national matches these days - we relive it in dress , firearms and attitude , we are unapologetically cowboys when we can can be , i realize it has nothing to do with those that live a cowboy style life today , and nothing to do with real cowboys we remember from the days gone by , but ...but .. we do try to keep the remembrance alive every day for those that care enough to think about it , at least some of us do , |

I grew up on a ranch and spent my formative years around genuine cowpokes. Many of the feedlot guys dress the part but can't do essential things like rope or trim horse hooves. Got nothing against them as such; I just consider them a separate "job classification". SW |
