The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Just got a box from the usual suspect containing the latest loot. The 1st 2 are Italian medals from WW1.

This is a medal for an association of French veterans from Indochina and Algeria.

Just got a 3rd Spahi Brigade hat/fez badge for my French colonial grouping. These were native cavalry serving mostly in Algeria & Morocco and saw hard service during the Rif War.

Relating to the next book, the Rif War caused much unrest in Spain - due to horrendous numbers of Spanish Army KIA - and was a leading cause of the Spanish Civil War. SW

i get a lot of info here i do not get elsewhere - gotta read up more on the spanish civil war , we might be headed there one day soon , and it wont be as civil as the last one me thinks , hope not , but the handwriting of history is all ove this these days , one needs to know history to see the developments and i doubt our younger generations have much interest in history these days - would loved to be proved wrong on this casual observation , please tell me i am wrong ........but all those leaning to communism these days lead me to believe they do NOT know history at all , the huddled masses may well become the starving huddled masses one day soon ,
