The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Hit the local small show intending to just get some AA1680 powder and the new Lyman reloading manual. Both were out of stock. I've been wanting a better scope for the 30 Herrett Contender barrel & haggled for a new 3-9 EER @ 125.

I should have went for the door then but saw a fellow "selling off his collection". Under some BP revolvers was a WW2 vintage HSc that has seen better days. But it has a decent bore. Missing the mag & has a broken grip but he said make an offer so it was mine for 150.

Saw some guys I've known for a long time & had a great time trading lies with them.

Overall prices weren't too bad. At least people were willing to haggle. SW

While I'm at it, the only numbers visible on the HSc were "238" as shown. Any of you guys know if this is the serial number? A rack number? I went over it carefully with a loupe & found razi proofs but no other numbers.

Interesting. 3-9X may be a handful on the contender. Most EER are fixed focal length, and of 2X class. How long is the eye relief?

I suppose if you are using the Herret bbl off a rest, it will work very well indeed...

Eye relief seems to be around 12" - 18". It has the illuminated reticule, but I'll save the battery for my red dot. I have no use for red or green glowing stadia.

Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I do like 30 Herrett, though. Rather a pain to form cases, but it seems to be more accurate than 30-30. SW

looks like you got off easier than i did - last show i ended up with a beretta M9, granted i had that hole in my collection with a filler the kids had left behind , and i knew my son has multiples of these in every version available because it is his go-to so i always thought to leave the collection to him short that one ..............he stood right there and encouraged me , i think he just got another beretta ...and i bought it ,
