The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Something I've been needing for quite a while - a good sharpener. Found one on sale with free shipping & it's here now. First order of biz was go over all the kitchen knives that see regular use. Next was my Puma folder & "mini nicker" I use for opening mail & packages. Sharp enough to geld gnats now! :bigrin:

Next is use one of the very sharp kitchen knives to cut up a chicken & make soup for supper. There's a cold going around here, and a big steaming bowl o' chicken & noodles is just the ticket for that! 8-)

That is interesting . What kind of abrasive belt is that?
I'm still using a carbide/soft stone pocket sharpener.
Could see your machine working well on some of the basket case edges in our kitchen drawers.

nice - emmory belt ? looks like it will see lots of use , still looks compact enough to not use excessive space in the shop/gun room wherever you keep it , it looks great

i dress mine with a handheld draw of crossed steels and ceramic these days , it works fine for kitchen and everyday carry , but i put it off often till i have a few to do then sit in front of the tube and go thru them ,

That's a 220 grit belt. Included were an 80 grit for tools and a 3200 for polishing knives.

I mostly got it for kitchen blades that almost had to be warmed to cut butter. It's been working well on hard steel - like Germ Puma. Chinese Puma is junk! SW

Being the worlds worst knife sharpener, even with that fancy machine I would still end up with a blade duller than when I started. :-(

me too ten bore , but should i get lucky with one - i had better warn the better half less it become a catastrophic event on the home front , shuddering at that thought ,
