Couldn't pass this one up at the price ~ 20.00 O.T.D. :bigrin:

It's a big and heavy old lens, and the tripod foot is very useful.
Far from pristine, the glass is a bit dusty and clouded on the inside.
Fairly sharp at the 80mm focal length.
Focusing is a bit tricky at 250 hand-held.
Did a couple of quick test images with it.
Definitely not Nikkor.
It took a couple of weeks to run down the manufacturer.
Turns out it's actually an early Tokina.
It was churned out in various house brands ranging from Optamax to Soligor, Tokina, and others.

I'll be fair and give it a tripod test before deciding what I'm going to do with it...
My first twing-ring zoom. 8-)
