2nd group out of the Walther was about what I was expecting. I suspect competition sights are a young man's game, and this isn't the first time I've come across this. For us far sighted types, a definite square notch rear, and plain post, or sourdough front seem to work the best. I had at one time a Ruko/Squires auto-loader that was scary accurate with a 4X scope. The U notch and gold bead front were totally useless for my eyes. GPC supplied me the required replacements- a very nice thread adjustable front post, and a Marble's square notch rear. That was the only rifle I trusted for game taking with irons... Regards, Doc Sharptail |
