congrats! hope it works well for you. mine all seem to like feeding albanian light ball and czech silvertip without problems. if yours has feeding problems, let me know. i have a few spare mags i can send, find one that works.

too much rain - not enough cold

Leaves are pretty but most are on the ground and folks have blown them in to the gutters!

Yesterday I went for a quick bike ride with the girls and all they wanted to do was ride through the piles of leaves

Funny how things come back at you, as I'm telling them NOT to ride through the piles (concern about the neighbors who made the piles) I remembered doing the same things about 30 + years ago

here you have to "BUY" a garden trash bag [its green plastic] and they pick them up on special days ,
cant put it in the street , cant burn it [except you can have recreational fires - my fire ring is a bit over 10 feet in diameter -oh it came with the house ] and you cant put it in the river [although nature has for eons before we came here]

nice thing is with all this greenie stuff goin on - they encourage composting [you can take all your stuff to the city compost area] so i have this rather large compost pile goin on - been doin it since they passed the laws - about 12 of the 16 years ive lived here - got some great soils for potting plants

My dad has been composting for years, and he swears by it. I always wondered if we are not messing something up by not allowing at least part of the leaves to stay there and do what nature was doing.
