Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

The first one is a 1908 CG M1896 Swede Mauser.

The other pics are of a M1916 Spanish Mauser dated 1926 and still in the original 7mm.

how totally befitting that one of the first new acquisitions of 2008 should be a 1908 rifle, i very much like that idea, and that Spaniard is quite nice as well.

Yes it does have the hinged floorplate but I can't figure out how to open it. It appears to have the release at the side of the triggerguard unlike other Mausers. Advice is most welcomed.

Not sure how to open it. I only know they came with one but mine doesn't have it. Don't even know where to find one

[Maybe push in from one of the sides with a bullet tip (or phillips head screw driver) ?
