… and in every price range. This guy didn't have a lot of money but did have a good metal detector. SW

there are those that prefer the relics to the operable collectors , cant say i have no interest but there is something about a still operable piece - even if not shootable that holds my attention ,

There's a story in one of my old gun digests about a dug up colt woodsman .22 being restored to full functionality. The only parts that required replacing were the bbl and sear. The rest of it in Ugly pitted condition ran normally after clean and lube. I think he mentioned replacing the extractor a bit later on...
