What make of floor press model is a good one?....i have been on craigs list looking~ i will be working on my 2 ky rifles soon, and i need a nice used model with 3-4 inch travel?....no 'runout' on the spndel with a quality model i understand is needed....but WHAT BRAND????

don't want no cheep crapper junk!

only a nice 100-150buck quality model wanted......so what do i look for?

and my current idea of a nice drill press ain't getting any QUALITY hole done....

I got my floor model at Menards. It was around $170 but it is made in China. Work good and no runout.

That looks like it. I got mine a couple years or so ago and the price has went up just a little. It has a 5/8" chuck and 3" of travel.

The way to get a cheep drill press in these parts is at farm auctions. If you can stand around all day while they finally get to the stuff you want. I don't have the patience for auctions anymore but you can get good stuff for not a lot. SW

here too , sometimes it goes high so real waste of time but sometimes the bargain hunters drop out very early and you get a deal , mine is my fathers old one from sears [rockwell made] dates to mid 80s when the house fire replaced the 'real one' he had from the 20s - it was an industrial drill press , cast iron and weighted a ton
