A member of another board I vist has an otherwise fine 1903 Greek 6.5 rifle , the only problem with it is that the bore slugs at .278.
From his description I suspect someone trided their had at bore lapping and went over board, removing far more than the recommended .0005" of bore surface.

He'll be trying to get the old girl in shooting condition usin oversize cast bullets, 7mm sized down to about 6.8 (.276)


I remember hearing of a few replacement barrels for the Greek rifles showing up about five or six years ago.

Anyone know of a source for barrels or other parts for these rifles?

I think some barrels may have been manufactured by Styer in Austria.

Would 270 caliber bullets @ .277" work? SW

Some sort of 270 wildcat? Weird. I would say that size overbore was not from bore lapping.
