I'm convinced it is for real. The M-N big cheeses say there are only a dozen of these in the world - at the most. The guy was all happy to get it & others said they thought it would bring more. Since the link will expire, here's pics of the rifle in question. 12,501.01 for this. Spending this much for a MM, beat to heck Mosin Nagant is beyond my comprehension, and I have been known to bid WAY past stupid on certain things. Chip probably hunts with a couple of these...  Actually......I have five of the even rare-ER Tenn made MN.....  I will prt with them for 1/2 of what this one sold for...  I can see collecting, but 12K would put ALOT of bills paid.....and groceries on the table in my poor house..... I'd sooner pay for some once wore Paris undies.....  ...now that would be collection.....some from L.Lowhand, some M.Osmond, some from Pam Dawber......  Madmanmarc |

And I bet when this was brought in to the US it sold for around $40. That's what I paid back them for my Tikka M91 and the rarer 91-24. Then they were just 'barrel rifles' in the dusty back corner of gun shops |

Now that I have updated my information. Yeah, I guess it is worth that to some. If I get buried in the sand. "Who knows? In a thousand years, even you may be worth something." From Raiders of the Lost Ark. Wish I had known some of this earlier. Not that any I have are worth that, but I sure miss the NEW Nagant with the original walnut stock and the P-26 MN. $50 and $40 respectively. |
