I got the Model 32 S&W in 32 Long today. Serial # 561xxx. I'd like to know what year it was made. Thanks! SW |

Are you sure it's a model 32? My memory is not the most reliable but I'm thinking that the Mod. 32 was the old .38/.32 terrier and I'm fairly sure that that was in .38 S&W. I believe that it was the model 31 that was chambered for the .32S&W long. When I get home I'll grab the S&W guide and look and up date my post. Home now and looked it up, Mod. 32 is in .38 S&W Mod. 31 is the old .32 regulation police. Post war numbers start in 1946 at number 536685 and goes 712953 and end in 1960, the model 31 was 1961-1970 numbers 712954-826977. So I'm guessing you got a .32 Regulation Police or hand ejector made maybe 1951-53. Hope this helps. Looks like a good one from the picture. |
