Yesterday's Weapons Forums

On another site, I'm doing a mini survey regarding 7,35 M38 short rifles without serial numbers. A collector who's registered here but mostly lurks expressed an interest in buying mine lacking the serial number.

In the process of taking pics for him, I discovered it has the tiny German armorer's mark applied to Italian rifles that were seized when the Italian king surrendered in 1943.

Checking my collection index card, I discovered I've had it for 16 years & never noticed it!!

Not that it adds greatly to the value. I'm not raising the price I asked him.

But it's a graphic reminder to look stuff over carefully before selling!! SW

Haven't seen one of those outside a gun-show. First I've seen in wood.

Funny how the little waffenmat puts pricing into stratosphere...
