Yesterday's Weapons Forums

.....my next door neighbor came over today while I was setting up my scope to try for some lunar photography tonight...brought along his 1906 model Winchester .22 rifle that he refinished,serial # dated it to a 1915 manufacture date...last I saw her she was in pretty rough shape...he did a lot of TLC work to it and had it professionally hot blued....she looks brand new and you'd have to look closely to see any "warts" ....its gorgeous
....so I took a few pics of it and told him I'd post on here for the gang to see....maybe I can convince him to sign up with the forum and he can add more info and the details of what he did...

beautiful job , i love these little rifles , he did a great job getting her back to presentable condition , tell him congrats ,

i have one of these 1906s as a project that needs a new stock for me to get it moving , been watching gunshows and am mentioning here and there in case someone has one , gonna get serious one day and go after this in a real way , but jusyt have not made time yet ,

this is a good company...I have bought from them much-o in the past, before I mended my ways and make my own from tree stumps

takes a tiny bit of fitting, and is a done deal.....

I had a early rossi copy of these little dudes...you can hold the trigger, and pump it----bangetty bang bang!!!!

thank you , i may well get one this year as ive not made progress finding the old stock , thankfully the foreend is in really nice shape , that seems a fair price to pay , i was expecting about 10 bucks more
