Today I had to put my mom in a hospice facility. She has been suffering from chronic lymphatic leukemia for a number of years and in early December she entered the hospital with pneumonia. After 11 days they released her to a rehab facility over Christmas and then she got pneumonia in her other lung. With all the antibiotics killing off the "good" bacteria, she developed an infection that her blood just could not fight off. Two days ago she made the decision to stop all treatment. After 21 days in the hospital this time around, she was released into hospice. She can not eat or drink. there is a big hole in my heart as I await the inevitable. |

You have my sympathy - this will not be easy. Take strength in the idea her suffering will be entirely gone. I have said a prayer for her and you. SW |

Mom passed away early this morning. Her suffering is over. Thank you for your prayers. |

I'm so sorry for your loss...It's hard to lose a mom. She is in no pain, and soon you may all be together. My condolences to you and family. |
