Found these recently, having forgotten about them for a long time. They're indeed iron rather then brass... which brings up a question - were these ever issued by any participant of WW1? I thought I read once they were but would like confirmation. As shown, they're a trifle small for my hands. SW

those are really cool , i cannot answer your question directly as regarding that item but there was a knife that was issued back then with brass version of those , cannot recall the model number of the item but ive seen them over the years in various forms - real and reproductions , those might date to the gangster era of the 20s
