Is what I thought at first. It looked like the guy belonged to a metal detecting club and had dug up items stored in his garage. The dug up stuff is largely useless except as display artifacts. But looking closer, I noticed live blasting caps, usable rifles and a sawed off shotgun. Turned out the guy had already been convicted of arms trafficking and was going to be arrested for a home robbery. Interesting German & Soviet items. The human remains should have been turned over to the army for proper burial, though. I would have left the grenades where I found them! This was in Volgograd - formerly called Stalingrad. SW |

little concerned with how some of that got handled considering age , condition, and lack of clearing before looking down the muzzle end , and as you mentioned some of it could still be quite volatile , what possesses someone to retain human remains ??? |
