Board is working fine for me tonight - the first time. I had some problems of my own making in my computer. Got a technician down today and he punched a few buttons and now all is well. Gun boards is still having problems and they are working on it. riceone.

....Howdy Roy.. ....yeah....things are workin' a lot smoother around here.....the Men behind the Curtain are doin' pretty good... ....I had a heckuva time with Gunboards too-their "behind the curtain" fellas dont seem to be as good as ours.... .....I will be seeing Frank this weekend-will tell him you said HI...!!!

Tell Frank that I met Edward Ringer at the Blevins' last Memorial Day and he brought with him a T99 and bayonet that he got in Nagasaki. He told us he was stationed in Nagasaki right after the surrender to re-construct the electircal wiring over townb. They were lined up in formation and each GI was given a rifle and bayonet. He had never fired it and wanted to. After it was inspected I fired it the first time in 60 something years and handed it to him and he continued to fire it. Had the biggest grin on his face each time he fired. I thought of Frank when we were doing that. He was a retired school teacher. He came back the next day and sat listening and watching the machine guns fire. I brought the case I fired home with me and George engraved Franks name and 5/25/07 on it for a keep sake. riceone.

You gotta love a story like that!! Items/stories like that need to be remembered along with the rifle!!
