Saw an older ad., from some years ago, make reference to the trigger on the rifle being able to be adjustable for single, or double pull; anyone know what this would mean, double pull??

Kinda remember target rifles that had set triggers set up with a first pull...second pull was super fine.


Reminds me of an article on the pistols used in the Hamilton/Burr duel.
One was sent to Italy to be duplicated for the US 2oo year celebrations....smith discovered the trigger was an illegal (under duelling rules) set trigger. Set by pushing the trigger forward.
Suggested the bloke who lost (forget who) blew his shot because he set the trigger and accidentally touched off prematurely.

But, then....what would I know?
