by the govt entity that controls and operates the Dayton Int'nl Airport. Coming to the airport for my 2 week trip to Utah I follow the road signs to the lot that makes sense to me. As I will be gone for more than a couple of days I figure that short term parking is not the right lot so I follow the signs that say
Economy
Long-term Red Lot
Now this sign does not say "Economy Lot" and "Long-term Lot" which would indicate that the lots are seperate lots. No my assumption was that this was one lot. When I follow the signs to the entrance of said lot there is a choice of right lane or left lane. I chose the one on the left and the sign I see when I look out the drivers window before I get to the ticket dispenser says "$12 a day" and "Max $36 weekly". So I say I guess I can deal with $72. Since my return flight was a late flight and Mom can't do the night driving and I did not feel I should inconvienience any friends for a ride I figure that ain't too bad.
Well to my suprise I get back and go the the lot exit and insert my parking ticket and it says I owe $168. I look at that and say what the _ _ _ _? I back up and go to the lane with an attendant and said " the sign when I pulled in the lot says it is max $36 a week". To this he informed me that the $36 was for the economy lot and that I parked in the "Long Term Lot" and that there was a sign indicating this. Well I probably don't need to describe the person in the booth for you to know I ain't gonna win.
Now I am sure I am not the only person who would make this mistake and the cars in the "economy" lot were probably people who have been screwed in a previous trip to the airport.
I won't be silent about this and will take another trip to the airport to take pictures and this will go noisily as far as it takes.
