They really knew how to design cars back in the day. Beautiful looking machines.

Am I really that old?
I remember working on those cars as a young apprentice in the late 50,s and early 60,s
I remember chopping and chaneling, shaving door handles.
I remember building dune buggies and slipping corvair engines into them.
i remember building up engines for myself and my buddies.
I don,t remember faces of long gone buddies
My wife calls me an old geezer....I disagree

The good old days....they were only yesterday....I think....

...is that what they mean when they say "memory is the second thing to go"...

I would love to have a duece coupe with the old firedome hemi, like the one shown on the site. Can you imagine embarassing the kids with their riceburners with that in the quarter-mile.

Shooter if you really want to go nostalgic you need to put an Arden hemi conversion flathead in that duece coop.

Back in the 70's I just had to have a flat head 50 model Ford pickup. Found one that had been restored. Bright red, shift on the floor, very nice. Would crank it up and drive it a little from time to time. One day my work truck was in the shop and I decided to just use the 50 model. No power steering, no auto transmission, no air conditioning, no power windows. Shortely after that I found someone that wanted it. Good old days, I like to think about them. Go back to them, naw. I go all the way back to plowing a mule, chopping fire wood, bathing once a week in a galvanized tub, bathroom outside, chopping cottom, picking it with a sack. Go back - I WOULD FIGHT YOU..... riceone.

Arden heads made a mean flathead. I had actually forgotten about them.
