true on both the miss-match and the bore , there are some who buy and sell the parts interchanging until they return them to factory correct , nice but not necessary , but a bright shiny bore will be worth the effort

i think all three are fine rifles , ive seen some [go up on the block here ] id be proud to own if they were in my area of collecting , as it is only the SKS found a place in my cabinet ,

this may sound stupid but i have one oddball at each end of my collection - an 1893 spanish mauser for the springfield trap door/krag span-am era , and a chinese SKS for my VN M16 era ,

not sure where your at on the M1 garand yet tho - did you get that worked out or have you given up on that ?
