That's exactly right, Amatikulu. If you collect old British firearms, as you and I do, the international aspect of eBay is/was very important. However good Gunbroker.com and Auctionarms.com are — and I love both — they are very US-centred, while many of the spare parts people like you and me need are in Britain, Australia, etc.

the ebay flakes are in kalifornia...the ONLY state to do things like ban barrett firearms etc.....they will never change back....they are making billions off the auctions they have!

I understand the sentiment that nothing will change when we deal with a big company like e-bay. One thing is for sure, if you don't try, it definitely won't change.

If I remember Burke's quotation, it went something like this:

"All that is needed for the forces of evil to triumph is for enough good men to do nothing".

It's only my opinion, but I think Ebay's policy change re. gun parts and ammo components is less politically related than based on concerns about potential liability. Ebay has stated that these changes have been made in the wake of the Virginia Tech shootings, and that it had been found that some of the items (not described) that the shooter used had been purchased on Ebay. Ebay used the phrase about banning the subject items because "It's the right thing to do." I personally don't think "doing the right thing" had anything to do with these changes. I think that their legal counsel advised them to do it.

You summed it up well. That is what I meant in my previous post about not confusing me with the facts, my mind is made up.
