OK This will be a before I get stock redone I got this krag off GB. From a guy in HI. It didn't have the scope or base on it. |

Here are the pics. Seems a shame to D&T a Krag, but it was common practice back in the day. Folks often didn't have the $ for more than one gun so they made the most of what they had. I was the only guy to bid on it. Got it for the opening bid $ 249.00 And it shoots great. I am so glade I picked it up. In a few weeks , this U.S. Springfield will be Back on duty @ o dark 30. Standing deer watch up in the ADIRONDACK Mtns. |

A square, I went to the Lund boat manufacturing school For marine Tech's in New York mills.Minn. Back in 2006. Love the fresh walleye they served In the dinner we ate in. |

I have 2 Krags, one a cut-down to carbine length and one full length. Do your best to grab cases from where ever you can get them. They are getting scarce. I luckily bought several hundred and loaded them. Sadly some develop neck cracks upon firing and thusly have to be destroyed. Since they are loaded, can't anneal them. Hopefully you reload, or at least do for this cartridge, otherwise you will have very limited exposure to new rounds. Hopefully PPU will have them available.

I had several 1909 FA 30 USG rounds I found in a box of gun show junk. Never shot them, but they all had spontaneous split necks just laying in the box. I might have some new brass... I'll look around for it. SW |

i shot all of mine when i had them , i once had quite a few rounds , some went with the rifles , some went as noted above with split necks etc, i will look to see what if any i might still have stashed away but that may take a few days of digging so bear with me , lots of places to look my 1899 - my 92/96 [96 i once had is missing from this photo] and 98 - |
