Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

These were some that I tried out different methods on........

THis is my 1st horn, and the one I use....it wil hold a pound of powder, and keep it dry~I like the size, and the attachments I used. The neck was carved and colored the old way with knife/file and dyed a antique finish.The brass end was added because the wood plug grain was ugly to me...so I covered it with brass...you might be able to see it in this picture:

I like making horns, and I have some 'stashed', but I am no longer allowed BSWBO, to file/sand in the house.....so they will wait till springtime :kap:

besides....I have TWO rifles to work on....my 3rd rifle for me, well, lets just say the wally world CEO's will have a better christmas then us, so my $$ on my will be used to better advantage. I have the wood, so I will make one for myself with mom's walnut wood in a year or so......in time.....

They have a lot of good advice in 'scrimming' that might further your creative talents. There is one fellow there who makes collapsible drinking cups form horn. Pretty cool stuff

im immpressed , im trying to figure out how i can make this work for my cowboy chit without switching to black powder - i will be connecting you to some of the back powder shooters i know in cowboy , there are some fun folks out there ,
