Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

all is well with the PB dug out, then the latch fashioned and placed. The hole in that beautiful brass ($$) buttplate went well, the little knob needs final file work and the toeplate needs inletted. maybe today.
the steel PB lid latch lock part is just a nail, filed, cut then placed in the lid, with just a touch of solder. In the olden days, they say they just peened it in, but, I felt it needed the solder to hold it till the next 200yrs~ I will get all this worked in then polish it one last time, then ask the engraver to do some nice work on it....after I get the barrel and ramrod holes laid in on the stock.
This is actually backwards work~ but I kinda like working the stock W/O the heavy barrel...and just may do all my future rifles this way!
