Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

over in the BP forum~
You might want to plan on recutting your butt plate contour later on down the road.

The rules for building a rifle says the breech plug face in the barrel tells the lock where it is going to be installed.

The lock tells the trigger(s)s where they are going to be installed.

The trigger(s) tell the butt plate where it should be installed.

I'm not saying you can't build your gun as you see fit but your going to have to do some fancy measuring and figuring to get everything to work out. :)
and here's the barrel being laid~
I outline with a shrap chisel....then saw some with a plain old hand saw....I did use a little of Jacobs table saw....but that was too much hard work figguring the depth...old hand saw works good...then a tiny-tiny 1/4" wood plan:

lots of curls!...and she falls deeper and deeper...I use a 24" sanding bar from my R/C airplane days.....a few chisels and:

13-1/2" pull.......my barrel will plop where the bolster drum is comming out, to make the dang curve of the lock follow the wrist to the center....then the wrist will fall into the comb, which is over the rear trigger guard point....
