Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Since there's plenty of time...

Andrey was asking me about Sambar stag. It's solid clear through & not porous in the center like deer or elk antler. With the rough surface, it's ideal for knife handles.

I asked Dixie what kind of steel was used in the blade, but their knife guy didn't know. It draw filed easily but seemed to hold an edge when I messed around on a piece of dry maple in the back yard.

It won't be a using knife - just for display with my flint grinder musket. It would quickly do in a wild piggy, though. Assuming Mr Piggy didn't get in a couple of bites first. :-o

I am getting a little old for those kind of monkeyshines. :crzy:
