We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

It's an unregulated Chinese Pre-Charged-Pneumatic, in .177 pellet caliber.

I had it out Friday in the baking heat at the gravel pit, and it seems an able performer. All I did was test over the Chronograph, and find out where the mild velocity "curve" is.

It starts at 2800 PSI and gives a reasonably flat 15 shot string in the mid 800's.
I pumped up to 3000 PSI and got a 20 shot string with a similar velocity curve. Good enough. Found a minor leak on the gun and will have to replace the seal on the gauge, which is actually not serious. I think I have a decent one in my O-rings kit.
It's a fair amount shorter than the air rifles I am accustomed to, and should work well in the thick stuff I sometimes hunt. Un-scoped, it's 5 lbs 2 oz on my old fish scale.

Put my favored K-3 60-B on it, and will likely have an accuracy test later in the week.

Regards,

Doc Sharptail

She wants to shoot!

First scoped 7 shots out of the gun with the K-3 aboard.
12 Meters from forearm only rest. Shot at lower left was from 6 paces, just to make sure I'm on paper. Shot at left was me dialling into the new to me trigger.
That's 5 shots just above and to the right of the 10 X spot. Crosman 7.9 gr Silhouette-F/T domes aprox 840 fps~ about 14 ft lbs, if memory serves me correctly.

Fixed a small leak at the gauge, and the shot strings are lengthening. Tube pressure is 3000 PSI, or a shade over 200 bar. after 21 shots, there's still 2700 PSI in the tube.

Will have to do another string over the chrony for an accurate count. I'm guessing there's at least 30-40 good shots there, within 40 fps of each other. The grouse won't know the difference.

Next on the list is a modern compact scope with either a fine cross-hair, or ultrafine mil-dot reticle. I am leaning towards a fixed focal length, if I can find one. If not, I'll look at the 2-7X class. Nikon has a new rimfire version out that may be worth looking into, depending on how heavy the reticle is...

Regards,

Doc Sharptail
