wellll.............I thought this would be simplistic....but I don't like the screw to hold it, going into the wood at that angle, (split city man!)so.....I have a piece of RR spike that I will cut out and make into a latch...with a spring return..........the pivot point will then be screwed INTO the stock like the BP screws.....tomorrow tinker time...then tomtom will get pictures to hogger........

The latch work is in now in.....it snaps shut, this was a real learning curve....and the little steel piece was cut from a rr spike.....
The rod hole was drilled with sweat on my brow, and it needed on a tad adjustment....but it had to pass thru the stock, past the screws in the plate....
The rod has a hole drilled for a roll pin....that will hold in the stock. I need to trim it some, as in the picture, it's a little long.
She still has to much wood in places.....so I have another pickle jar broken, and will do some more scraping.......

Had one of those gut wrench days.....some 24hr bug....so I started on th little do dads around the barrel wedges....jogger knows the name....
The one is finished, with the pins filed flush....the one still has proud pin heads as you can see...and the last pic is the wedge in....yup a hour each to inlet....no hurry, just no more wood can be removed here on the forearm....so, careful with that xacto blade!!!!!!

One more like this...then a custom one up front, and a larger custom one back toward the trigger area......

Headed for the couch.....the bug has me tired again.....must of eaten something that didn't like me......

See the one one the plastic box behind the rifle?...I glue paper to the German silver pieces to cut n drill, then I file work it all off anyways.....that one is for the other side.....
These are big boogers to inlet.....tomtom had to give me his cuss jar, as my cuss jar is full....
Anyways....the clamp is to hold it down on a bed of epoxy, little trick to keep 100% contact when I go to file....I will drill n nail them to finish setting them 'in'....
Tomorrow..... I iz tarred tonight......

I'll have to report....the set triggers are FINALLY good.....there are three adjustment screws.....and boy howdy.....they have to be given proper attention or it's all wacky.....you guys.....I have be messing with this for about 4 hrs....finally

Our main man is inletting the final estucheon here. It's larger than the others for artistic reasons... it just looks better. Does to me, anyway. Closer and closer to a finished rifle!

But then what??? With no project at hand, kaintuck might become bored and get in a certain kind of trouble with his wifey! SW
