many years ago, I had a really well broken in Opinel #8,

carried it so long I could just flip it and it would open up

went to Lowes and left it, I think, on the bumper when I tied down something I bought,

when I was a kid, I spent a summer working for my Grandfather,
found out years after he passed, that I was his driver because he lost his license for a bit,
and I had a learners

anyway, he was a carpenter\handyman\small repairs kinda guy,
we were working on a house of a family friend out in the country, and on the way home one day, I had locked up his tools in the side boxes on his truck, and left the keys on the top of the boxes,

morale of the story,, stuff happens, it will work out in the long run

his old chevy did not need a key to start it, so he did not realize I had not given them back to him till we got to his place,

so, we drove slower than normal up the country roads near the house we were working on and found the keys maybe 5 miles from the house

fortunately, they had only been hit a couple times, as in run over, so most all of them were in good shape, and still worked

Sorry to hear that A². Hopefully, you end up with an even better phone.

I have a 2nd Gen iPhone SE that's been obsolete for probably 5 years or more. I'm thinking about the new 3rd Gen SE that just came out. It's the same size as my 2nd Gen so the waterproof case I have will still fit.

still a little irritated with myself and missing it a lot even tho i swore id never be tethered to one ,

hoping the replacement and transition goes smooth but sure its gonna irritate me even more

I've gone for the belt case.
It's the only way I can control where my phone is.
Started out with the otter-box belt clip on the Samsung S-6.
I'm on an A-20 now, and had to go with a padded 3rd party belt case, which is big enough to get in the way. I've learned to live with it...

Wife spends a lot of time up-ending purses looking for her A-20.
I've ended up calling her phone quite a bit , just to locate it.

Regards,

Doc Sharptail

I'm the opposite

if I clip on (current on a Pixel 3XL, upgrading soon to a Pixel 6 nPro) one of the belt holder thingies, I knock it off,
they hand too far off my body, or I cannot feel the vibrate,

I use a cheap slip on case, basically a rubbery plastic, and a good glass protector (Mr Shield IIRC)

it says in my pants pocket,
