Since there hadn't been a post in over 10 years, I changed it to discussion of pocket folders and hunting knives. A great place to display handmade knives, too. SW |

It used to be arrowheads and native weapons. Pretty much a dead forum. SW |

I do wish that when anyone becomes a knife maker, that they put their name on them, I have picked up a few estates in the past few years that had custom knives in them, some were named, so I could do a search and find them and get a good price to pay others, nothing at all, the estate may have a receipt or not, just depends, but a customer skinner or fixed blade or folder or ?? that is not named\branded\marked in any way goes from being a $2 $20 $200 knife to being a much less than, same too, many are just a damn fine knife, but not marked , so no idea if it is a $2 chinese knockoff or a $200 custom |

very good , in keeping with the original intent even if updated to the current trends , ive known a very few "extreme" knife collectors in my life , but those folks are very detail oriented in their areas of expertise - also a bit tight mouthed till among fellow collectors one i met lived a couple doors down in my married student housing back at iowa state , he had the flat drawing storage drawer files that were about 3 foot tall and roughly 48"x36" , about 12 drawers in each unit , he had two high and three banks of them , lined in felt and packed with knives of all types , anything you can imagine before 1972 was in there [that was when he showed me it] id given him a folder my grandfather gave me that was a salesman gift ...not real spectacular really , he just didnt have that one ................ ill try to add a few o0f my pics of the few i have |
