We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I recently traded for a some surplus 6.5 and got a box of 3 clips w/ ammo as well as a 50 rd box of individual rounds. Most was 1935/36 made in Capua. But about half the 50rd box is 1950 marked, made by BPD in Rome(?). I'm unable to get a clear picture of the headstamp right now but will try later. Just thought this was interesting as I haven't been able to find anyone with ammo this late made at this maker. Or ammo made at this maker at all really. Just the clips. Any input or similar post war ammo?

You don't see it too often, but Bombrini Parodi Delfino ( BPD) made ammo into the sixties. I've been looking for star ammo = Hirtenberger & that's a tough one, too.

The one to watch for is 8X50R mmo by SMI. Italy made a lot of ammo for the war reparation rifles from Austria but most of it went to Africa. I've seen it sell for over $25 a clip. SW

Wow. That's not cheap. I will definitely look around for different ammo now. You really gotta work to read some of the headstamps, though. Any specific direction to start in? Been enjoying that M38, by the way. Put a couple hundred rounds through it already. Good shooter, but I definitely have to compensate for the 300m sight.
