I'm slow but I get there... sorry for the delay. Here's the 336 MArlin in 35 Rem. It has languished in a closet for at least 25 years. I don't show it in my chronograph log so it's been there a long time. I've nothing against it - I would rather have the $ for the stuff I collect these days. and a trip next year.
The barrel - bright & shiny! Just ran a brush & several patches down the bore & it's great! Exc condition. The stock is sound with no cracks. There are a few dings and scratches I've attempted to show. Also shown is the Pachmayr recoil pad. I flat do not know if it's factory. If you're a collector, you'd better consider it aftermarket.
Missing is the front band screw. I haven't a clue what's up with that. It may have been missing when I bought it. This will be an easy part to get from popular sources. As well as I recall, I got this in a small collection I bought from a retiring farmer many years ago.
The serial # shows it was made in 1969 and the stock shows the Marlin 100th anniversary medallion. I believe that shows the receiver was made late 1969 and the rifle was assembled in 1970. $300 shipped
