I love my K31, but thought I'd show some pics of another straight pull rifle with a lot of history.
This is a Rifle, Short Ross, Mark II (Mark II 3* variant) and was issued to the canadian Expeditionary Force at the beginning of WWI as there was a shortage of the newer (and ill fated) Mark III's. You can see the cancelled CEF on the butt stock. Later in life it was sold to the US Army and both the rifle and bayonet have the US and ordnance bomb marks on them. The US used them for training rifles. Apart from the missing rear handguard, this example is in exceptional condition and one I intend to research more thoroughly.
