The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. Some time back I purchased an 09 Argy Mauser. It was described by the seller as "blued" but turned out to be Parkerized (such are the dangers of buying guns on GB). It is matching, except for the bolt, which has an Argentine symbol, but no serial on it.

I've been told that the bolt was probably replaced during a re-arsenal. I've also heard that 09's were sometimes blued during re-arsenal. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Argy's being parked during re-arsenal?

The story went that Argentine Mausers don't have matching bolts because for many years their soldiers weren't trusted to have their rifles battle ready without supervision. Bolts were stored seperately and only issued when they were called to duty.
This was to head off mutinies, assasinations, and military coups.

Could be thats an urban legend though.

What does the left side rail have on it? This was usually change in a refurb.
I have seen a lot with matching bolts so must be urban legend. They were in the white originally.

Not to be nit picking but you need to down size your pics. If you photobucket they are automatically resized.
