Several months ago I got this Peruvian Modelo 1909 at an on-line auction. Compared to my Argentine 1909's, it is pretty rough. Also a total mix -master. It headspaces good and the muzzle seems good, based on the "bullet test".

Is it the norm that the Peruvians are well used compared to the Argentines?

Either that or the Peruvian NCOs didn't make the troops take such good care of their equipment. That's a very nice stock, BTW.

If you ever find yourself wanting an 1891/1912 Peruvian Mauser to go with it - that they bought from Argentina, I have one with a SIG barrel I bought compulsively and am considering selling to further my Italian collection. SW
