I long avoided the Mauser platform rifle until I bought a M48 from a friend. I couldn't be satisfied with just one, but for now I well stay in the Yugo line.

M48 that started this madness.

Then a M48B came along followed closely by a M24/56C.

The 56C cleaned up very nice, I'm very happy to have this one.

Nice looking group.

I need to get some pics of my few Yugos.

I have,
M1924b
YC M98k
M24/47
M24/52c

I looked at a very nice M1924 but was way more money than I had.

Have you been watching Yugo prices? I've only been looking at these for under a year but it sure seems to me they are going up faster than even the K-31's. I know the asking prices at the auction sites don't mean much but they are starting to ask $499 for pristine condition rifles, seems like they were under $250 a year ago.

Lookin' good!

I have only 1 M48. Got it many moons before all of the import waves came here. Pulled it off of the rack @ SARCO. Mint. No crest only a stylized "27"
on the receiver.

Good weekend on Gunbroker, apparently everyone is off camping for the weekend because no one is bidding. Both these went super cheap. The Mod 98 and M24/47 pretty much completes the Yugo collection. Still keeping an eye out for the rare markings and well upgrade if possible.

Last week produced a M24/47.

First factory code 145 I have seen. I also found a sling for my M24/52C that was affordable. I've seen these with a $100+ price tag!

Nice. Is that a crack or just the grain of the wood?

There are a number of different workshops that rebuilt these rifles.

Are you just going to tease us with a couple pics of the M1924 or can we see more?
That is one I have been looking for but haven't found one I could afford.

Ha ha, I'll post pic's when it gets here. Found that on Gunbroker. Yesterday at a local shop I found one of the W prefix Yugo Mod 98's. No crest or plant stamp, only indication that's it's Yugo is the import mark. Excellent stock, reblued receiver/barrel, bands show wear, odd wear mark on barrel. I want it but not at current asking price, $350 on consignment, offered $250. Maybe I'll get lucky, problem is I have been lucky this month and running out of money!!!

On the M1924, is there a easy way to tell if it's a early FN made rifle?

The FN M1924s were the first 100,000 made for the SHS and will be marked with the FN mark on side rail.
You need to get a copy of "Serbian and Yugoslav Mauser Rifles" by Branko Bogdanovic if you don't have one. A lot of info on the Yugo rifles.
