Here's the latest addition, a M1924 Infantry Rifle. Metal is nice, wood is pretty dented and dinged. Has great cartouche marking. King Alexander I Karageorgevich cipher, parts that are numbered. Stock, receiver,(duh) bolt, trigger guard, floor plate. Last three numbers on the safety, striker, inside of butt plate and stock cross bolt. |

...I've been wantin' one of those soooooo bad ...my grandfather was awarded a medal by the King for being the top gymnast in the country just before the war.....during the war he was a partizan fighting against the Italians and then the Germans in what used to be Slovenia back before WW1 after which it was merged into Yugoslavia...he likely carried one of these....part of my signature line is in his honor and memory (....Naj puška govori!....) ...google the translation...used to be in the Slovenian National anthem in those days ...I have more pics but here is a part of the scroll and the medal that the King awarded him...crest look familiar??? gpvmedpaper.JPG [ 43.27 KiB | Viewed 2461 times ] gpvmedpaper3.JPG [ 46.96 KiB | Viewed 2461 times ] gpvmed.JPG [ 53.55 KiB | Viewed 2461 times ] |

i think you have posted this before but its a great post - you have some real treasures there and a true historical collection to pass to your kids , thanks for posting it for me to enjoy again |
