Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

long story short traded this a friend years ago and now its back home.when I got it was unissued cond. numbers match on this brno and a minty bore. 8-) .

That is a nice looking rifle. I wouldn't mind running across one of those. I do have a post war Czech with #s matching but not Israeli.

so what era would that fit into ? gotta be after the NATO adoption of the 7.62 ? but before every major country switched to SLRs ?

I think about 1948.it was the stop gap weapon until the fn-fal.after WWII the israeli army (idf) bought up lots of mausers from european countries.some of the brno mausers were bought new from the factory.

....neat :bigrin: ....not used to seein' what looks like a K98 with finger groove in the stock and no stock disk :lol .....winter triggerguard too.....what kinda wood is that...look almost orange on this monitor...or is it the flash that does it... :lol

so - "cosmo" stain is what color exactly .......now ?

i was kinda likin the orange in a way ...its kinda like the orange japanese stocks ive seen and reminds of the chinese red ones a bit , not so much as the enfeild blonde ones , but beats that pink one i saw at the range last weekend ...........ewwwww

When Israel first got those Mausers they were in 7.92 mm but they rebarreled them to 7.62 Nato before being imported to the USA.
