...Stout Scarab  Just lifted this off one of my social media sites.  They were a rear engine, rear wheel drive vehicle powered by a Ford V-8. Cost was in the 8.5-11 G range in 1936, which is over 100 G in today's dollars. 9 were factory built by hand and sold to the few that desired, and could afford them. There was a later 1946 version that was more like a car, and as far as I understand, there was just one prototype 46 built... Regards, Doc Sharptail |
